Cap d’Antibes, France – May 23, 2024 – Natalia Kapchuk, an artist, eco-activist and philanthropist, made a significant contribution to the fight against AIDS by attending the 30th annual amfAR Gala Cannes. The event, organized by amfAR, is one of the world’s leading non-profit organizations focused on AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and advocacy. This year’s gala was presented by Chopard and the Red Sea International Film Festival.
Held at the prestigious Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, the gala brought together prominent figures from the film, fashion, and entertainment industries for an evening dedicated to music, fashion, and fundraising. The night aimed to support groundbreaking research essential for finding a cure for AIDS.
The event featured a high-profile auction led by renowned auctioneer Simon de Pury. The auction showcased artworks by celebrated contemporary artists, including Andy Warhol, Kenny Scharf, Damien Hirst, and Chris Levine. As part of her support for the cause, Natalia Kapchuk acquired “Trash Wave No. 5,” 2024, by artist Janson Mason, whose work has been exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, and Asia.
