The Earth Age event, held on December 6th and 7th in collaboration with the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and RAK Properties, marked a significant moment in the Global Citizen Forum’s ‘Butterfly Effect’ trilogy. Renowned eco-artist and philanthropist Natalia Kapchuk took center stage, engaging in a series of initiatives focused on art, sustainability, and philanthropy.
The Global Citizen Forum is an annual event that brings together world leaders, influential figures, and thought leaders to discuss pressing global issues and promote positive change. The forum provides a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action on a wide range of topics, including social, economic, and environmental issues.
As a part of the Forum’s program, Natalia Kapchuk hosted a solo exhibition, showcasing select pieces from the captivating ‘The Lost Planet’ series, highlighting pressing environmental issues while celebrating the intrinsic beauty of our planet. Featuring pieces like “Carbon Clouds” (2020), “Ocean’s DNA” (2019), “Man-made Island” (2019), “Virgin Rocks” (2019) alongside the other creations, the exhibition resonated globally with its powerful message on the delicate balance between nature and human impact.
The artist captivated audiences with her thought-provoking artworks and powerful message of environmental conservation. The exhibition, which served as a platform for Natalia Kapchuk to showcase her commitment to sustainability and raise awareness about pressing environmental issues, garnered widespread acclaim and attracted numerous visitors, including influential figures and representatives from the art world, such as UAE Supreme Council Member Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi; UAE Minister of Tolerance Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan; news anchor for CNN International and editor-at-large of CNN Business Richard Quest; Multi Grammy Award-Winning Artist Nile Rodgers, and the winner of the Global Citizen Award, world’s leading comedian Russell Peters.
