From August 5th to September 2nd, 2023, the magnificent Wells Cathedral played host to the annual Wells Art Contemporary.
Wells Art Contemporary, also known as WAC, stands as an esteemed international art affair that consistently captures the attention of artists and art enthusiasts globally. Providing both emerging and established artists with a platform to exhibit their unique visions to a worldwide audience, WAC attracts a progressively diverse and talented pool of participants, as well as art enthusiasts and seasoned collectors. This ensures a vibrant and dynamic exhibition.
The twelfth edition of Wells Art Contemporary in 2023 delighted audiences with a remarkable showcase featuring over a hundred unique artistic masterpieces spanning various mediums and styles.
Among these noteworthy works, the artwork “Midas Touch” (2022) from ‘The Lost Planet’ series by Contemporary Artist and Environmentalist Natalia Kapchuk took center stage, captivating the audience. The Lost Planet series is an eco-focused project aiming to raise awareness about pressing environmental concerns caused by anthropic impacts. Having traversed the globe, The Lost Planet has been successfully presented at Wells Art Contemporary, featuring “Midas Touch” (2022). Its captivating aesthetics and profound symbolism left a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege of witnessing it.
